TEXAR presented Local Bands, Local Brews, Local Bites on Thursday, June 24 in front of the Historic Perot Theatre. This was a free concert featuring The Moss Brothers with food and drinks available from Pecan Point Brewing and Red Bone Brewery tents.

Saturday, May 22, 2021, over 400 people enjoyed ESCAPE: The Ultimate Journey Tribute Band at the 7th annual Clay's Golf and Guitars Concert. The Clay Eichler Memorial Fund raises money through its annual event, “Clay’s Golf and Guitars,” with all profits raised this year benefitted Haven Homes. Haven Homes is a local non-profit organization that provides a safe transition, temporary housing, and life-changing support services for women and men healing from addiction and homelessness. The Clay Eichler Memorial Fund was able to donate $170,000 to Haven Homes from this year's event.
The Kiwanis Club of Texarkana has a mission to improve the world, one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Texarkana hosted the 63rd Annual Pancake Day on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at the Truman Arnold Center on Texarkana College’s campus. Pancake Day is an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, complete with sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice and milk! All proceeds will go towards funding local organizations which directly impact the lives of children in our community. … Pancake Day is truly a community event.

On Thursday, May 20, 2021 the Texarkana USA Chamber of Commerce honored former Bowie County Judge, James Carlow as the recepient of the 2020 C.E. Palmer Award. This award was established by the Palmer family in 1941, and is Texarkana’s most prestigious recognition for long-term meritorious civic service. All past recipients make up the selection committee each year. The event was held at the Texarkana Texas Convention Center.
The Alzheimer’s Alliance Tri-State Area held its 6th Annual Twice as Fine Texarkana Wine Festival—a one-of-its-kind art, food, music and wine festival for the Four States Area on Saturday, May 1 at Spring Lake Park. This year's event brought thousands of local residents and others from surrounding areas out to enjoy this completely outdoor event. … The 2020 Wine Festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wineries from across the State of Texas, numerous merchants and local businesses gave guests an opportunity to taste and purchase wines and gourmet treats.

This event was hosted at the home of Cathy and Mark Van Herpen in celebration of Twice as Fine Texarkana Wine Festival, a celebration of art, food, music and wine. 1st Choice Pregnancy Center held their 21st Annual Walk for Life on Saturday, May 1st at Spring Lake Park. All funds raised from this event go directly to serve clients in our community. 1st Choice Pregnancy Center offers pregnancy testing, peer options counseling, limited OB ultrasounds, education programs where clients can earn items like clothing, diapers, even crips and car seats, mentoring for dads and more. They will soon be expanding services by adding a mobile unit which will allow them to take services to clients in the more rural parts of their service area.
