TRAHC hosted its first annual "Unveiling Toast" on Thursday, January 11, at the Texarkana Regional Arts Center. This was a kick-off event announcing the 2024 honorees: mixed-media artist Cindy Holmes, fashion designer Be Norman, and Steven, Ben & Patrick Mayo for their furniture design and photography. The inaugural TRAHC Honors Gala will take place on March 23, 2024, at the Regional Arts Center. In addition to celebrating the honorees, the Dallas String Quartet and The Band Q will be performing. The United Way of Greater Texarkana held its 9th Annual "Uncork Your Support" fundraiser on November 16, 2023, in the Studio 71 space at The Historic 1894 building. The community came together in a celebration of giving, all while enjoying the soulful tunes of local band Split Decision and savoring delectable delights courtesy of the talented Marjorie Slimer. Guests also participated in a raffle and silent auction, made possible through generous local donors. Proceeds from the event benefit the annual United Way campaign.
The Ark-La-Tex 100 Club is a citizen-sponsored, non-profit organization. The sole purpose of the ArkLaTex 100 Club is to benefit our local police and firefighters in Bowie and Miller Counties. The goal of the Arklatex 100 Club is to raise funds for the dependents of our first responders lost in the line of duty. The remaining funds are used to purchase any unbudgeted but necessary life-saving equipment and additional training. … The ArkLaTex 100 Club recently distributed over $79,000.00 in grant requests to police departments and fire departments in Bowie and Miller County.

Harvest Regional Food Bank's 30th Annual Taste of Texarkana was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center. Dr. Ly and Aaron Gaylor were the grand presenting sponsors of this magnificent Texarkana Culinary Showcase. Food, drinks, and entertainment from Texarkana's top restaurants, vendors, and culinary talent took part in this event benefitting Harvest Texarkana.
The Opportunities, Inc. Annual Autumn Luncheon was held on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the home of Jeannie Conway. This signature event hosted by the Foundation Board has been held since 1985. Joan Carter and the late Nancy Sandefur founded the Opportunities, Inc. Foundation Board to raise public awareness about Opportunities, Inc. and its many programs. This event celebrates the ongoing progress of the organization while raising vital funds to support local children and adults with disabilities in our community.

Haven Homes Texarkana is a shining example of the power of community to nurture and grow a vision that addresses a critical need. The 14th Annual Jeans and Bling benefiting Hospice of Texarkana was held at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center on Saturday, October 7, 2023. The evening kicked off with a celebrity lip sync contest, where Jaimie Alexander prevailed as the winner. The other competing celebrities were Kathy Lach and Katie Stone, with an encore performance from last year's reigning champ Cathy VanHerpen and her Ditzy Chicks Entourage. The evening also included a live dance band from Fayetteville, Boom Kinetic.
Monday, September 18, 2023, the 34th Annual Opportunities Inc. Golf Invitational Tournament was held at Texarkana Country Club. The mission of Opportunities Inc. is to provide developmental and support services to children and adults with disabilities, supporting them in attaining a full life and encouraging the recognition of the value and abilities of all to our community. In the past 34 years, Opportunities has raised over 3.5 million dollars from this event. These funds have been life-changing for the children and adults who are served by Opportunities Inc.
