TASD Class of 2024 Top Ten

Valedictorian: Salome Rainauli-Driver

Salome is the daughter of Nino and Donovan Driver. She was a member of the Collegiate Academy, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Associate of Arts degree, and was a member of the National Honor Society. She will attend Texas A & M University - Texarkana Honors College in the fall to major in Biology. She was awarded the President's Scholarship from TAMUT.


Salutatorian: Chrinasia Solomon

Chrinasia is the daughter of Tranada and Christopher Solomon. She was a member of the Razorback Television staff, the Porker Yearbook staff, Texarkana Arkansas School District Gifted and Talented program, the National Honor Society, and the art and photography programs. Chrinasia was a member of the All-A Honor Roll throughout high school and won various awards, including Advanced Placement honors, the Principal's Choice Award winner at the 2024 Art Show, and the 2024 Porker Yearbook Student of the Year. Chrinasia plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas to pursue a degree in graphic design. She was awarded the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship, the UCA University Scholarship, the Arkansas High Community Scholarship, the Arkansas Women for Education Scholarship, and the Eleanor Seymour Memorial Scholarship for her academic pursuits.


#3 William "Lawson" Stone

Lawson Stone is the son of William Louis and Lisa Stone. He is the oldest brother of Maddox and Ledgen Stone. Lawson was a member of the National Honor Society, the Texarkana Arkansas School District Gifted and Talented program, and the UAHT Collegiate Academy, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Associate of Arts degree. He has received numerous Chancellor's Honor Roll Certificates. Lawson plans to attend Texas A&M University-Texarkana, where he has received a Presidential Scholarship to continue his education, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.


#4 Jenna Dupree

Jenna is the daughter of Jessica and Jason Dupree. She was the team captain for the Ladyback volleyball and Ladyback basketball teams. Jenna was also a three-year letterman and All-State Academics for both teams and has won numerous awards for her athletic accomplishments. She was a member of the Collegiate Academy, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Associate of Arts degree, the National Honor Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Jenna is a member of North Hills Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas. She plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas to major in Exercise Science and pursue a career as a physical therapist. For her academic endeavors, she has received the Arkansas High Community scholarship, the Christ Nations Church scholarship, the Class of 1988 D9 scholarship, the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award scholarship, the Evangelist Catharyn Burton Memorial scholarship, and a UCA academic scholarship. 


#5  Bryce Jones

Bryce is the son of Kerri and the late Tony Jones and the grandson of Kathy and Dale Heagwood. He was a three-year letterman for the Razorback tennis team and won the 5A Conference Championship in Doubles in 2023. He was also a member of the EAST program and the National Honor Society. Bryce was chosen as the Class of 2024 50th boy. He is a member of Beech Street First Baptist Church. He plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas in the fall to major in Exercise Science and pursue a career as an occupational therapist. Bryce was awarded the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship, the Arkansas High Community Scholarship, and an academic scholarship from UCA.


#6 Brandon Nguyen

Brandon is the son of Kim and Dung Nguyen. He played center for the varsity football team, was a wrestling team member, and a member of the National Honor Society. Brandon is a member of Saint Edward's Catholic Church of Texarkana, Arkansas. Brandon plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas to major in nursing. He was awarded the Bob Graham Razorback Award and the Dr. William H. Richardson Award while in school. He has been awarded the Arkansas Community Scholarship, the Eleanor Seymour Scholarship, the Arkansas Challenge Scholarship, and a UCA academic scholarship for his academic pursuits.


#7 McKenzie Smith

McKenzie Smith is the daughter of Brooke Smith. She was an All-State member of the varsity Ladyback track team and is a state track champion. McKenzie was also a member of the Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) and their Medical Mentoring Program, as well as NIKE, a girl's service organization at AHS, and the National Honor Society. She is also the Class of 2024 50th girl. McKenzie will attend the University of Central Arkansas in the fall, majoring in Exercise Science and Kinesiology. She has been cumulatively awarded an estimated $110,000 worth of scholarships from various colleges. 


#8 Mikel Watson

Mikel is the son of Venture and Michael Watson. He was a member of the National Honor Society, the varsity cross country, basketball, football, and track teams, and was Academic All-State for all of the teams. Mikel was a member of Pride Academy, an Outstanding Young Man (OYM), a member of the Tower of Power Gospel Ministries and Abundant Life Church, as well as an alumnus of Arkansas Boys State and Arkansas Governor's School. He was also nominated to attend the Juniors National Young Leaders Conference. Mikel plans to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to major in Business Administration and minor in education. He has been awarded the A-State Enrichment scholarship, the Arkansas Challenge scholarship, the Fighting Heart Memorial scholarship, the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Kappa Gamma Lambda scholarship, the Anthony Carmell scholarship, the Arkansas High Community scholarship, the Beauty Outlet Mall scholarship, the Class of 1988 D9 scholarship, the Diane Greene Memorial scholarship, Jaqualyn's Light Prevails scholarship, and the Whitney Kelley Memorial scholarship.


#9 Nathan "Nate" Wall

Nate is the son of Shannon and Jim Wall, and the brother of T.J., Aaron, and Eli. He was the starting quarterback for the Razorback football team and a starter for the Razorback baseball team. He has won numerous awards for his athletic accomplishments. He is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Nate is a member of Radiant Church and plays baseball for the Texarkana American Legion team. Nate plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) to play football and major in sports medicine. Nate has been awarded an academic and football scholarship from UAM, the Tony Hadaway Memorial scholarship, the Arkansas Challenge Lottery scholarship, and the UAHT Bridge scholarship. 


#10 Gianna Bruce 

Gianna Bruce is the daughter of Jennifer Shelton. She was a member of the AHS girls' soccer team and the art program. She received the TASD District Purchase Award at the 2024 Art Show. Gianna will attend Southern Arkansas University to major in pre-veterinary studies. She has been awarded the Arkansas Challenge, SAU Blue and Gold Excellence, and SAU Honors scholarships.
