Bougie Grubs Egg Roll in a Bowl
INGREDIENTS
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 bag (14-16 oz) coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
Optional: green onions, soy sauce, sesame seeds, and sriracha for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
- Season and Cook the Turkey
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the ground turkey and season with 1 tablespoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of ginger paste.
- Cook the turkey, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain and Add Coleslaw Mix
- Once the turkey is fully cooked, drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Add the entire bag of coleslaw mix to the skillet with the turkey. Stir well to combine.
- Cook with Sesame Oil
- Drizzle 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over the mixture. Stir well to coat everything evenly.
- Continue to cook on medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes, until the coleslaw mix is tender and fully cooked.
- Serve
- Once cooked, remove from heat and serve warm. Garnish with sliced green onions, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, a drizzle of soy sauce, and sriracha if you like some heat.
