Harvest Regional Food Bank’s “Taste of Texarkana” Returns for 31st Year

Harvest Regional Food Bank is excited to announce the return of its highly anticipated annual event, Taste of Texarkana, scheduled for October 22, 5-8 p.m. at the Four States Fairgrounds Arena. Breast Cancer Knows No Age

While breast cancer is commonly associated with women over 40, many may be surprised to learn that younger women are also at risk. In fact, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women aged 15 to 39, and certain types are on the rise in this age group. According to Dr. Liva Andrejeva-Wright, a Yale Medicine radiologist specializing in breast imaging, "While breast cancer is most typically diagnosed in post-menopausal women, this is a condition that can and does happen in young women, too.

Casey O’Banion to Speak at Friends of the Library Annual Luncheon

Friends, by definition, are allies. Friends of the Texarkana Library are strong allies who contribute to the finances and community outreach of the Texarkana Public Library. By managing a used bookstore and hosting an annual fundraiser, the Friends of the Library can offer financial assistance for needs not normally covered by the library’s operating budget.
