Presenting the 2022 Texarkana Cotillion Debutantes
Nine debutantes, dressed in traditional gowns and carrying bouquets of red roses, were presented to society on December 28, 2022, at Texarkana Country Club. John Crisp, master of ceremonies, introduced each young lady as she stepped from the dais. Vicki Carr and Andrea Finley played the chosen debut song for each debutante as she and her escort circled the room. This season was coordinated by Miss Blaire Barlow.
Trinity Marie Tutolo
Miss Trinity Marie Tutolo is the daughter of Mr. Derek Tutolo and Mrs. Heather Barnette and the stepdaughter of Mr. James Barnette Jr. and Mrs. Holly Tutolo. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Harris of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Mr. and Mrs. James Barnette of Texarkana, Texas, and Miss Linda Booker of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Miss Tutolo is a sophomore at Texarkana College and will finish her child psychology degree at Texas A&M-Texarkana. Miss Tutolo attends Church on the Rock in Texarkana. “Once Upon a December” was Miss Tutolo’s selection for her presentation song, which comes from one of her favorite childhood films, the 1997 classic, Anastasia. She was escorted by her brother, Chance Michael Tutolo, a senior at Pleasant Grove High School. Trinity was presented in an elegant ball gown by Justin Alexander. Effortlessly chic with a modern notch neckline, this strapless gown features a Mikado bodice paired with a tulle ruffle skirt. The tiered statement skirt is finished with a simple Mikado belt at the waist. Trinity’s ensemble is complete with opera-length matte satin gloves by Carolina Amato.
Reagan Elizabeth Potts
Miss Reagan Elizabeth Potts is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Chris Potts of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stan Potts and Dr. and Mrs. Milburn Haynes both of Texarkana, Arkansas. She was presented by her father, and was escorted by her brother, Spencer Potts, who is a senior at Pleasant Grove High School. Miss Potts is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she is majoring in exercise science for physical therapy. She is a member of the Psi chapter of Chi Omega and enjoys volunteering at Life Source in Fayetteville where she helps children after school with their homework. She is a member of First Baptist Church Texarkana, but attends Cross Church while in Fayetteville. Reagan chose the song “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift as her presentation song. She chose a Sincerity gown by Justin Alexander for her debut. The timeless A-line silhouette was perfected by a classic sweetheart neckline featuring princess seams. Matching buttons extending the length of the back accentuated the timeless design. The ensemble was completed by matching opera length gloves with pearl buttons.
Mary Claire Wright
Miss Mary Claire Wright is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Trey Wright of Fulton, Arkansas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vic Massanelli Jr. of Hope, Arkansas, and Mr. and Mrs. George Wright Jr. also of Hope, Arkansas. Mary Claire is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she is majoring in apparel merchandising and product development in the Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food, and Life Sciences. She was named on the dean’s list for her freshman year. Mary Claire is a member of the Psi Chapter of the Chi Omega sorority, where she is involved with Chi Omega recruitment, and their national philanthropy, The Make A Wish Foundation. She got the opportunity to grant a wish in person this year to a little boy and send him to Disney World. Mary Claire is planning to study abroad this summer and will attend a wide range of rigorous courses, including innovative leadership and developing programming. Mary Claire is presented by her father, Trey Wright, and escorted by her brother, Walker Wright, a freshman at Pleasant Grove High School. She selected “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran for her presentation song. She chose an elegant design by Allure. Fabricated in a dreamy soft Mikado, the pleated ball gown skirt is topped with a strapless sweetheart bodice, beautifully edged in eyelash lace. The gown is finished with classic fabric covered buttons extending the full back length. Mary Clare’s debut ensemble is made complete with Cornelia James duchess satin opera length gloves.
Lily Kate Sewell
Miss Lily Kate Sewell is the daughter of Mr. Shelby Sewell and the late Mrs. Courtney Sewell of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Neal Sewell of Lewisville, Arkansas, and Ms. Ronda Viles of Texarkana, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Ham of Texarkana, Arkansas. Lily is a sophomore at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where she is completing a double major in accounting and finance in the Hickingbotham School of Business, intending to sit for the CPA exam after college. She has earned a spot on the President’s list each semester. She is a member of the Women of EEE social club, and the Ouachita Student Foundation, where she serves on the Student Recruitment and Fundraising and Finance committees to raise money for student scholarships. She attends First Baptist Church Texarkana and Park Hill Baptist Church Arkadelphia. She was presented by her father, Shelby Sewell, and escorted by Tucker Anderson, a sophomore biology major at Ouachita Baptist University and the son of Dr. and Mrs. Kurt Anderson of Texarkana, Texas. For her presentation song, she selected “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton. Miss Sewell was presented in a Sincerity ball gown designed by Justin Alexander. Her gown featured an asymmetric draped V-neckline that leads to a natural waistline. The full skirt of her gown was accentuated with pockets while the back cut into a low V. Classic covered buttons to the end of the gown and matching satin gloves completed the look.
Johanna Leonora Hueter
Miss Johanna Leonora Hueter is the daughter of Drs. John and Charlotte Hueter of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Belonie and the late Norma Jeanne Sorsby Belonie of Texarkana, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hueter of Houston, Texas. Johanna attends Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she is active in the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, and a Research Assistant in the Behavioral Psychology Lab. She is a sophomore majoring in biology on the Pre-Med track. Johanna chose a German carol by M. Praetorius, “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming” as her presentation song. She was presented by her father and escorted by Erich Winkelmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Winkelmann, of Houston, Texas. Johanna made her debut in a petal satin ball gown designed by Madeline Gardner for Morilee’s Blu Collection. Her gown was a classic silhouette with contemporary touches, creating a minimalist princess look. The box pleated gown featured a structured corset with a chic square neckline and soft basque waist. Completing her look, Johanna wore satin opera length gloves designed by Carolina Amato adorned with a fourth-generation pearl bracelet.
Charlotte Norma Jeanne Hueter
Miss Charlotte Norma Jeanne Hueter is the daughter of Drs. John and Charlotte Hueter of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Charles Belonie and the late Norma Jeanne Sorsby Belonie of Texarkana, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hueter of Houston, Texas. Charlotte attends the University of Texas at Austin, where she is a member of a research team focusing on expanding resources for low-income families and is a UX Designer for Democracy Lab intern. She is a sophomore majoring in psychology. Charlotte chose Franz Schubert’s “Ave Maria” as her presentation song. She was presented by her father and escorted by Steven Dorenbach III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Dorenbach Jr. of Houston, Texas. Charlotte chose a stunning Mikado ball gown for her presentation. The gown was refined by a portrait neckline, skirted box pleats, and satin buttons. A crystal beaded belt defined her waist, and subtle pockets added a modern touch to the Serenity gown by Justin Alexander. Matte satin opera length gloves by Carolina Amato highlighted a fourth-generation pearl bracelet to add the finishing touch.
Jane Elizabeth Rounds
Miss Jane Elizabeth Rounds is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Rounds of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rounds and the late JoAnn Rounds of Jefferson, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ratliff of Silsbee, Texas. Miss Rounds is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where she is majoring in exercise science in the College of Education and Health Professions. She is a member of the Psi Chapter of Chi Omega and serves as a Major Mentor. She is a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Texarkana, Texas. Miss Rounds was presented by her father, Jason Rounds. She was escorted by Mr. Rhett Young, a sophomore at the University of Oklahoma in Norman and the son of Mr. Mike Young and the late Kristian Robertson. She chose “Upside Down” by Jack Johnson, a childhood favorite, for her presentation song. Jane chose a classic, yet modern Sincerity by Justin Alexander ball gown created in a unique textured pique fabric. Her gown featured a sweetheart neckline, accented with modern pleating across the bodice and continuing along the back waistline. Detailed with partial illusion and lace appliques, the gown was finished with classic fabric buttons. Cornelia James duchess satin gloves completed her look.
Holly Ann Thornton
Miss Holly Ann Thornton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Thornton of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell McDowell, and Ms. Patsy Thornton and the late Joe Thornton, all of Texarkana, Texas. Holly is a sophomore at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, where she is majoring in kinesiology with a minor in public relations. She is a member of the Phi Eta chapter of Delta Delta Delta, where she is dedicated to Tri Delta’s mission of helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital find cures for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases through the sorority’s continuous fundraising events. She is a lifelong member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Texarkana, Texas, and attends Indiana Avenue Baptist Church while in Lubbock. Haley Reinhart’s version of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” is Holly’s selection for her presentation song. She is escorted by William David Bayouth, a sophomore at Texas Tech University and the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Bayouth of Lubbock. Holly took her bow in a classic, organdy A-line gown by designer Justin Alexander. The straight, strapless neckline was accentuated with delicate pleating that continued to the back of the gown, leading to a satin belt at the natural waistline. Satin opera length gloves by Caroline Amato complete Holly’s look.
Evelyn Grace Patterson
Miss Evelyn Grace Patterson is the daughter of Ms. Katherine Weber and Mr. Ty Patterson of Texarkana, Texas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Katherine Weber and the late Dr. Patrick Weber and Mr. And Mrs. Cary Patterson of Texarkana, Texas. Miss Patterson is a sophomore at the University of California Berkeley, studying business administration with an emphasis in marketing. She is a member of Alpha Phi International, where she holds roles as the director of social media, Philanthropy Day chair, and coordinator of internal social affairs. Miss Patterson is also an active member of the Haas Business School Association, where she serves as a student affairs associate managing thousands of Haas Business Schools’ newly admitted students. Over the summer, Evelyn worked as a U.S. Women’s Open marketing intern for Pebble Beach in Carmel, California. Throughout her internship, she conducted stakeholder interviews, financial analysis, and marketing research to develop a formal brand partnership business plan, presented findings to the Chief Technology officer and marketing department, led background research efforts for 2023 U.S. Women’s Open, assisted in corporate hospitality sales and prospecting; efforts helped the team close over $500K in sales and supported Director of U.S. Open Partnerships with drafting corporate hospitality legal agreements and the U.S. Women’s Open Servicing Manual. “Beneath Your Beautiful,” a song by Mike Posner, Timothy McKenzie and Emeli Sande, was selected by Evelyn for her presentation song. She was escorted by Sam Bradshaw, a sophomore at Texarkana College and the grandson of Mr. Jimmy Murphy. Evelyn was presented in a sophisticated fit and flare design by Justin Alexander. All over venetian lace and a sweetheart neckline created her classic look, while an illusion back added the finishing touch. Italian lambskin opera length gloves by Carolina Amato completed her presentation ensemble.
