Pecan Point Brewery Benefit
Sunday, October 11, the Opportunities, Inc. Angel Guild hosted an afternoon of football, craft beer, and delicious food at Pecan Point Gastropub and Brewery. This was a fantastic event and a real crowd pleaser with craft beer and food pairings such as Pecan Point’s “State Street Blonde” paired with Tuna Tartare, “Pecan Point Ale” paired with Beer-Battered Pub ‘Shrooms, “Grim Porter” and Duck with Cherry Sauce, and “Bell’s Dairy Milk Stout” paired with Chocolate Bread Pudding.
Ticket proceeds from this event will go to support Opportunities, Inc. and their mission to “build a community where each person belongs; where each person is accepted, welcomed, and given the chance to participate in the community, regardless of disability.” Opportunities, Inc. provides stable and accepting programming and living arrangements that meet the needs of each individual they serve.
With football, delicious food and locally crafted beer, this was a fun event and raised much needed funds to support an incredible community of children and adults with developmental disabilities, live full lives in our community.
