Gail & Dr. Ed Eichler started the Clay Eichler Memorial Fund in 2015 following the untimely loss of their son Clay. Each year, the Clay Eichler Memorial Fund raises money through an annual event known as “Clay’s Golf and Guitars” with all profits benefiting worthy local organizations needing financial assistance. The recipients of the funds raised by this event are chosen by their board on a rotating basis.
This year’s event was held August 22 at Northridge Country Club. Though COVID-19 made the annual concert impossible, the golf tournament and raffle ticket sales raised $120,000 for 2020’s benefactor, the Caddo Area Council, Boy Scouts of America—ScoutReach program. “Things looked a little different, but we made the best of it and had a great time!” said Gail. “We can’t wait to see what next year has in store.”
